Censor Board demands 14 cuts in one song of Bollywood film Maheruh

IndiaScribes.com has learnt that the Mumbai Regional office of the Censor Board of India has demanded or asked for 14 cuts in a 4.5 minute song sequence of an upcoming, soon-to-be-released Bollywood film Maheruh.

We spoke to director Vithal Sunita Veturkar, who confirmed that the Censor Board did ask for the 14 cuts in the song sequence.

The film is produced by Rashmi Satam, Nikhil Khedekar and Abhed Productions and presented by Nevada Putman.

Music for this film is by Kallan Bardhan and the film stars two upcoming actors in the main lead.

Except for confirming that the Censor Board did ask for 14 cuts for a song sequence and cleared the rest of the film with an A certificate, Veturkar refused to comment in detail on the project, stating that he will reveal more details in a day or two.

Sources said the film had a lot of “hot scenes”, but Veturkar refused to elaborate and only said, I will reveal everything shortly.

Promos of the film are already online and the film is slated for release in November.
