There is good news for aspiring candidates who intend to contest the upcoming Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation Election 2017 to be held on August 20. In this election candidates will not have to run from pillar-to-post to obtain “no dues” certificates, as the MBMC has decided to set up a single window dispensing system to issue required document.
This move by MBMC will save time and trouble of corporators, as the new system will work as the facilitator between candidates and the civic administration. There are various departments in the MBMC which deals with financial matters.
As per rules, it is mandatory for all candidates to obtain certificates from all related departments which include property, tax, water supply, town planning, license and local body tax. However there are some key wings like property and water where chances of outstanding dues are higher.
