‘Pitaji’ Gurmeet MSG used to give ‘maafi’ to women disciples inside his ‘gufa’; maafi was code word for rape

After Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted for raping sadhvis, many alleged shameful acts of the controversial Dera Sacha Sauda chief are emerging in media.

Now, a first hand accounts of the sufferings of the two sadhvis have come out. According to the statements given by the two rape survivors, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh allegedly used to flaunt his clout and his status as god while raping them, as per a report in TOI.

Also, the rape survivors disclosed that the word ‘maafi’ (pardon) was the code used among disciples to describe rapes, the TOI report added.

Shockingly, it has been alleged that only female disciples were deployed to guard the Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s underground living quarters called ‘gufa’.

The gufa is the place where the Dera sacha sauda chief used to rape sadhvis and other women, the TOI report claimed.

The two rape survivors had recorded their statements before the judges in 2009 and 2010. Gufa was a customised underground chamber that was Gurmeet’s personal residence.

Maafi was code word for rape?

According to one survivor, she initially did not understand when female disciples used to ask her whether she had been ‘granted maafi by pitaji’. Here maafi is code word for rape and pitaji is Gurmeet. “This maafi became clear when I was called inside the gufa on August 28/29, 1999, and raped by Gurmeet,” a rape survivor from Yamunanagar in Haryana, who deposed before special CBI judge AK Verma on February 28, 2009, revealed, according to a TOI report.
